The Beginnings Of A Dynasty

X-Men takes place in the near future, as certain humans have evolved into mutants with special powers. In the Canadian wilderness, a young runaway mutant named Rogue and Wolverine, a bad-tempered, quick-healing mutant with retractable metal claws, are suddenly attacked by the powerful Magneto and his lackeys. Fortunately, Cyclops and Storm, students of the compassionate Professor Charles Xavier, interfere and bring them back to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. Here Wolverine and Rogue learn more about the conflict between Xavier and the militant Magneto, who wants to power a device that will genetically alter humans, with possibly deadly results. Only Xavier’s students can stop Magneto’s plans.

Already living in a society that mistrusts them, the mutants are faced with even more discrimination after an unforeseen enemy-who may be a mutant with extraordinary powers-launches a devastating attack. The news of the assault causes a public outcry against the mutants, including renewed support for the Mutant Registration Act, and William Stryker, a military leader rumored to have experimented on mutants (possibly including Wolverine), is among the most vocal supporters of the legislation. Stryker puts into motion a plan to eradicate the mutants and begins an offensive on the X-Men mansion and school. Magneto, having escaped from his plastic prison, forms an unlikely alliance with Professor Xavier to stop Stryker. Meanwhile, Wolverine heads north to investigate his past.

In X-Men: The Last Stand, the final chapter in the X-Men motion picture trilogy, a "cure" for mutancy threatens to alter the course of history. For the first time, mutants have a choice: retain their uniqueness, though it isolates and alienates them, or give up their powers and become human. The opposing viewpoints of mutant leaders Charles Xavier, who preaches tolerance, and Magneto, who believes in the survival of the fittest, are put to the ultimate test-triggering the war to end all wars.

Hulk

From the pages of Jack Kirby and Stan Lee’s comic book, the green goliath smashes onto the big screen in Ang Lee’s inventive depiction of the world’s favorite brute. Upon his father’s experiments and a freak accident of exposure to gamma radiation, scientist Bruce Banner suddenly has a new way to let his inner rage out. When angered, something is triggered and Banner transforms into the Hulk, an unrelenting force of rage that seems to have only one weakness-a soft spot for Banner’s ex-girlfriend, Betty Ross. With a world that misunderstands him, a father that wants to use him, and a military that tries to control him, the incredible Hulk blazes a path of destruction and shows how unstoppable he truly is. Hulk smash!

As the saying goes, Justice is blind -- fittingly, so is Daredevil. Stan Lee and Bill Everett’s crimson-clad hero was robbed of his sight as young kid when he was in a terrible chemical accident. Though blinded, his other senses were amplified to super-human levels.

By day, he is attorney Matt Murdock trying to protect the innocent in a court of law, by night he is Daredevil, The Man Without Fear, exacting his own kind of fearless justice. This unlikely hero now takes over the big screen fighting his long time nemeses, the large-and-in-charge Kingpin and the fatally accurate Bullseye. Caught in the middle of this story of justice and vengeance is Matt Murdock’s girlfriend, Elektra -- assassin extraordinaire.

Elektra has risen from the pages of Daredevil, to her own series, to her own film, and she has even risen from the dead. A highly-skilled assassin, Elektra finds herself on a job to eliminate a young girl who she sees too much of herself in. Trusting her instincts, she chooses to instead rescue the girl and her father from certain death. This decision leads her into the dark heart of an age old battle that will surely test who she is. With her sais in hand, her prophetic attention keenly focused, and one eye always looking over her shoulder, Elektra is going to have to prove herself as the world’s elite assassin.
